Vegan Midnight Oreo Milkshake
Ingredients
- 1 cup soy milk or non-dairy milk of choice
- 3 heaping spoonfuls of high quality vegan vanilla bean ice cream about 8 oz
- 5 oreos
- 2 tbsp chocolate chips optional
- 1 tsp vanilla extract optional
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp espresso powder optional, intensifies chocolate flavor
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
Optional toppings
- 1 oreo crushed
- chocolate syrup store bought or mix 2 tbsp maple/agave w 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- whipped cream store bought coconut whip or homemade whipped cold coconut cream
Instructions
- Add ½ cup soy milk to a mug and microwave it for 40 seconds. Whisk in the cocoa powder, cinnamon, and espresso powder until smooth. This “blooms” the cocoa to make it more potent and aromatic.
- Add the cocoa paste mixture, the remaining ½ cup cold soy milk, ice cream, oreos, chocolate chips, and vanilla to a blender. Blend on high for 1-2 mins until smooth and creamy.
- Coat glass w chocolate syrup and top with optional whipped cream/crushed oreo for decoration. Enjoy!
