Vegan MIdnight Oreo Milkshake

Vegan Midnight Oreo Milkshake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup soy milk or non-dairy milk of choice
  • 3 heaping spoonfuls of high quality vegan vanilla bean ice cream about 8 oz
  • 5 oreos
  • 2 tbsp chocolate chips optional
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract optional
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp espresso powder optional, intensifies chocolate flavor
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

Optional toppings

  • 1 oreo crushed
  • chocolate syrup store bought or mix 2 tbsp maple/agave w 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • whipped cream store bought coconut whip or homemade whipped cold coconut cream

Instructions

  • Add ½ cup soy milk to a mug and microwave it for 40 seconds. Whisk in the cocoa powder, cinnamon, and espresso powder until smooth. This “blooms” the cocoa to make it more potent and aromatic.
  • Add the cocoa paste mixture, the remaining ½ cup cold soy milk, ice cream, oreos, chocolate chips, and vanilla to a blender. Blend on high for 1-2 mins until smooth and creamy.
  • Coat glass w chocolate syrup and top with optional whipped cream/crushed oreo for decoration. Enjoy!
